That the provision of an arbour on the roof of the existing garage will result in the use of the garage roof for purposes ancillary to the occupation of the dwellinghouse and, as such, it would result in adjoining properties being overlooked to the detriment of the privacy and enjoyment of the occupiers of those properties which would, thereby, be contrary to policy H12 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
That having regard to its design and location, the arbour constitutes an incongruous and inappropriate addition to the existing building detracting from the character and appearance of the property and as such the development is contrary to policy H12 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan.
