That the proposal would be contrary to policies H12, CON 6, 8 and 10 of the adopted South Oxfordshire Local Plan. Having regard to the size, bulk and detailing of the proposed extension and to its positioning on the rear of the existing farmhouse, the proposal would appear intrusive and out of keeping with the linear form of the farmhouse and would disrupt the simple nature and appearance of the rear catslide roof. As such, the proposal would detract from the established character of this Grade II listed building and would neither preserve nor enhance the character of the Britwell Salome Conservation Area.
