Building Control Application Details

B20.0811/S (Show Map - opens in new window)
Description
Unsafe Napoleonic wall. Stones are falling out of the wall showing the mortar which has turned to sand. A sand wall has no strength. Thick ivy stems are growing in the wall damaging it. Large trees are growing on top of the wall putting unnecessary pressure on the wall. The wall all is very high in the order of 20 feet, I have not measured it, and could collapse onto the pavement and road below. For public safety the whole area needs to be barricaded until the wall is made safe. Unsafe walls regularly collapse and kill people.
