Become a StepWatcher - free for people with Diabetes!
GO Active Get Healthy with Diabetes is offering 12 Week StepWatchers walking programmes.This is a programme available specifically for people with diabetes, offering motivation and support to become more physically active.
Sign up by completing our Diabetes Survey and receive the following:
• a pedometer to help you keep track of your steps
• support with setting weekly step goals
• incentives to keep you motivated
• monthly meetings and follow up calls to keep you accountable

Health Walks - It's FUN, FRIENDLY and FREE!
The health walks scheme is a national project which involves short volunteer lead walks in local communities. It's all about helping people who don't get much exercise (for whatever reason) to get out and improve their fitness.
All walks are led by experienced, friendly walk leaders who will welcome you to the group and support you on your walk. Walks are graded so you can start with the shortest distance and gradually build up as you get fitter and more confident.
