Further information about the Wallingford Green Gym
BTCV Green Gym is a unique scheme promoting health and fitness with conservation volunteering in the local area.
Wallingford Green Gym meets every week, on Tuesday mornings from 10am, and volunteers spend about three hours on a variety of activities. You can view the latest programme here.
Activites include planting trees, pulling weeds, and building fences. Each session starts with warm-up stretches, includes a break for tea, and ends with cool-down exercises.
Research has shown that this is a great way of burning calories, building up muscular strength and increasing energy. Green Gym is also a great place to meet new people, learn new skills and help look after your local environment. And best of all it's free!
