Tetsworth Neighbourhood Plan
Tetsworth Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine planning applications.
What's happening now?
Tetsworth Parish Council has recently submitted its neighbourhood plan to South Oxfordshire District Council.
We are extending the six-week publicity period in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures put in place by Government . The consultation will remain live until measures are relaxed or lifted, and for a reasonable amount of time beyond that, to ensure those who are at increased risk of severe illness from Coronavirus (COVID-19) are given a fair opportunity to engage in the process.
At this stage, we are extending the consultation period and inviting your comments on the plan and supporting documents until midnight on Tuesday 28 July 2020. The consultation may be extended further if appropriate.
You can view the neighbourhood plan and supporting documents below:
Paper copies were available to view at Tetsworth Memorial Hall, High Street, Tetsworth, OX9 7AB.
Please note that the deposit point may be closed in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures. Paper copies will be made available once again once Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures have been relaxed or lifted
Our office at Milton Park, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB is now closed to the public until further notice. We are therefore unable to offer the neighbourhood plan and supporting documents to view and in an alternative format at this time. If you need to speak to someone about this consultation, please get in touch using the contact details below. The documents will be available to view at our office once Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures have been relaxed or lifted and our office at Milton Park is open to the public.
How to comment
Comments can also be made by:
- emailing email@example.com
- writing to South Oxfordshire District Council at the above address once Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures have been relaxed or lifted
- completing a comment form (available at the above venue) and posting or emailing it back to us once Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures have been relaxed or lifted
As the neighbourhood planning process includes an independent examination of the plan, your name, postal address and email (where applicable) are required for your comments to be considered by the examiner.
After the publicity period ends, your response, including your name, postal address and email (where applicable) will be sent to an independent examiner to consider. The opportunity for further comments at this stage would only be at the specific request of the examiner.
Most neighbourhood plans are examined without the need for a public hearing. If you think the neighbourhood plan requires a public hearing, you can state this in your comments, but the examiner will make the final decision.
Please clearly state in your comments if you wish to be notified of our decision on whether we formally adopt the neighbourhood plan.
All personal data will be held securely by the council and examiner in line with the Data Protection Act 2018. Comments submitted by individuals will be published on our website alongside their name. No other contact details will be published. Comments submitted by businesses or organisations will be published in full, including contact details. Further information on how we store personal data is provided in our .
