Culham Neighbourhood Plan

Culham Parish Council is working on a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine planning applications. 

What's happening now?

Culham Parish Council has submitted a Neighbourhood Area Designation application to South Oxfordshire District Council.

The neighbourhood area designation outlines the area which will be covered by the neighbourhood plan for Culham.

The proposed neighbourhood area designation follows the parish boundary of Culham. We are required to carry out this consultation as the proposed neighbourhood area overlaps with a small part of the designated neighbourhood area for Clifton Hampden. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) measures put in place by government are beginning to be relaxed, we are now inviting your comments on the area designation application and supporting documents. Due to the continued COVID-19 restrictions, and the school holidays, the consultation, which would normally run for six weeks, will run for eight weeks from Thursday 18 June to midnight on Thursday 13 August 2020.

Next steps

After the consultation ends, South Oxfordshire will consider your comments and will decide whether to formally designate the Neighbourhood Area for Culham. The final decision will be published on the Culham Neighbourhood Plan page on our website.

All personal data will be held securely by the council in line with the Data Protection Act 2018. Comments submitted by individuals may be published in a report on our website, alongside their name. No other contact details will be published. Comments submitted by businesses or organisations may be published in full, including contact details.
