Cholsey Neighbourhood Plan

Cholsey Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine planning applications.

What's Happening Now?

The publicity period on the draft Cholsey Neighbourhood Plan concluded on 12 July 2018. The district council has now submitted the draft plan documents and comments received during the publicity period (897.0 KB) PDF  for independent examination.

Andrew Ashcroft has been appointed by the district and parish council to carry out the examination. The examiner's role is to make recommendations on the draft plan, and ultimately if the plan should proceed to referendum.

More information on the process is available on our Neighbourhood Planning home page.
