Cholsey Neighbourhood Plan

Cholsey Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine planning applications.

What's Happening Now?

Following the independent examination of the Cholsey neighbourhood plan, the district council has agreed that the plan should now proceed to referendum. The referendum will take place on Thursday 14 March 2019.

To vote you must be registered to vote in local elections by Tuesday 26 February 2019 and live in the referendum area. Make sure you Register to Vote if you haven’t already.

If residents vote to adopt the neighbourhood plan it will then be presented to the district council to be made as part of the development plan. Take a look at:

More information on the process is available on our Neighbourhood Planning home page.
