Chalgrove Neighbourhood Plan

Chalgrove Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan. The process empowers local communities to help direct and shape the way their area grows and develops into the future. A neighbourhood plan will form part of the development plan, which helps to determine planning applications.

What’s happening now?

We recently ran a consultation, which concluded on Wednesday, 14 March 2018, inviting the local community and statutory consultees for their comments on the draft neighbourhood plan. We have now submitted the draft plan and responses to this consultation for independent examination.

The Independent Examiner for this plan is John Slater. The role of the examiner is to make recommendations on the draft plan, and ultimately if the plan should proceed to referendum. Take a look at the Examiner's further questions (56.4 KB) PDF , and the parish council's response (1.1 MB) PDF .

Mr Slater has commented on the plan. To address his comments the parish council has proposed some changes to the neighbourhood plan and the environmental report, which they are asking the examiner to make in his recommendations.

The examiner has asked for an opportunity for the public and consultees to comment on the parish council’s suggested revisions to the neighbourhood plan and the environmental report. We are therefore consulting on the revisions during a six-week consultation period, which runs from Thursday 5 July until 5pm on Thursday 16 August 2018.
