Proposals for single Oxfordshire unitary council approved at council meeting

South Oxfordshire District Council approved proposals for a single council for Oxfordshire at its Full Council meeting on the 10 March 2017

Cllr John Cotton, Leader of South Oxfordshire District Council, said: "Savings made by running a single council for Oxfordshire can ensure public services are maintained and improved for generations to come. They can also be used to reduce council tax. The proposals for a single council received cross-party approval from South Oxfordshire councillors - bringing us one step closer to a better Oxfordshire.
