Get active in November

People looking to get active have lots to choose from this November in South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse.

This month’s highlights include indoor walking cricket for anyone over the age of 16, and Active Women hockey and badminton sessions.
 
Active Women Buggy-a-cise – weekly sessions for mothers with young children – Tuesdays 9.30am at Didcot Leisure Centre and 11am at Abbey Sports Centre, Berinsfield.

Cllr Anna Badcock, Cabinet Member for Leisure at South Oxfordshire District Council, said: “These sessions give mothers with young children a great chance to meet new friends and get active. There’s no need to worry about
childcare in this class – your child and the buggy are part of the workout!”

Active Women Back to Hockey – six week course for women aged 16 plus – starts Monday 21 November, 8pm at Tilsley Park, Abingdon

Cllr Charlotte Dickson, Cabinet Member for Leisure at Vale of White Horse District Council, said: “The Walking Cricket taster will be the first session of its kind in southern Oxfordshire.  If lots of people come and join in I’m sure this will be just as successful as our hugely popular Walking Football sessions.
