Make a Big splash in Wallingford

Young children in South Oxfordshire will be able to make a splash this weekend after the district council confirmed that the Wallingford interactive water feature in Riverside Park will be opening all day during the Jubilee weekend and half term.

The opening hours will be 11am to 5pm from Saturday 2 June until Sunday 11 June. This means that the interactive water feature will now be open for two more hours than usual and this is just in time with temperatures of up to 20 degrees forecast on Saturday and warm temperatures during the following week.

Cllr Ann Ducker, leader of South Oxfordshire District Council said; “I am delighted that this new and free facility will be open for the public during the Jubilee and half term - what better way for children to spend their holiday?”

There will be an official opening of the feature on Saturday 23 June where it is expected that large numbers of residents and visitors will experience this new and exciting facility.
