The proposed development, due the backland position of the proposed dwelling, site layout and access, and relationship with neighbouring dwellings, would represent a cramped form of development that would be incongruous, and harmful to the character of the site and surrounding area, and harmful to the amenities of the neighbouring occupiers and the future occupants of the dwelling, contrary to policies H3 and D1 of the Sonning Common Neighbourhood Development Plan 2012 - 2027, policies CSQ3 and CSR1 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy 2012 and policies H4, G2, D1, and D4 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2011.
