That the proposed garage, by reason of its position forward of the dwelling and close to the site frontage, would form a prominent and intrusive feature in the street scene and would detract from the character and appearance of the site and surrounding area.  As such, the proposed would be contrary to Policies G2, D1 and H13 of the South Oxfordshire Local Plan, Policy CSQ3 of the South Oxfordshire Core Strategy, the advice in the South Oxfordshire Design Guide and Government guidance in the National Planning Policy Framework.
