Roundabouts

In January 2006, South Oxfordshire District Council took on the responsibility for roundabouts from Oxfordshire County Council. The Council has also entered an agreement with a specialist company, Marketing Force, for the upkeep, maintenance, and sponsorship of all thirty-eight roundabouts in South Oxfordshire. This agreement runs until January 2011 and aims to enhance the appearance of the district for visitors and residents.

Marketing Force will maintain the roundabouts, even if we do not find sponsors for them. This will include regular grass cutting (where required) weed control, tree pruning, and removal of litter and debris.When local businesses sponsor a roundabout, we will erect signs on the roundabout, opposite each approach road.

Oxfordshire County Council remains responsible for the structure and highway signage on all roundabouts.
