Sport and active recreation strategy

Sport and Active Recreation Consultation Results

The Sport and Active Recreation Strategy has now been updated with all information from the consultation, and will run until 2010 to show how we will work to increase sport and active recreation opportunities across South Oxfordshire.  Alongside the strategy a yearly action plan will be produced to identify specific actions and targets.  This will be evaluated and updated on the website each year to show what targets have been achieved, and what future actions will be.

To view the updated strategy and 2007/8 action plan please see the links on the right.

Strategy Consultation

We have produced a summary of responses we have had for each question in the consultation.  Please note that these are summaries of the main issues that were raised and do not contain all the comments we have received in full.  If you wish to view all the original correspondence please contact the leisure team on 01491 823128 to arrange an appointment.

Each respondent has been given an ID number which is listed against the comments.  If you would like to know your number please contact us.

Many key themes from the consultation have been used to update the strategy, however please note all responses will be taken to the South Oxfordshire Community Sports Network meeting in January.  They will then be used to identify need and align priorities for sport and active recreation across the district.  If you wish to know more about the South Oxfordshire Community Sports Network please contact Cath Bogue, Sports Development Officer on 01491 823128.
