Assisted household collection

Help with your rubbish and recycling collections

If you have difficulties putting out your rubbish and recycling collection due to a disability, illness or infirmity, and there is no one else to put it out, we can make alternative arrangements to help you.

We will collect your rubbish and recycling from within the boundary of your home, by two different crews weekly - one to collect your rubbish and another to collect your recycling.  We will leave a clear sack in your letterbox each week, which you can use for your recycling (paper, cardboard, cans, tins and plastic).

to arrange for a Council officer to visit you and carry out an assessment. 

Alternatively complete our assisted collection form (available for download from the menu on the right), get it signed by your doctor or social worker, and send it to Public Amenities at:
