What happens to my garden waste?

All the garden waste we collect is composted locally and used to improve local farmland.

Since its launch in June 2006, over 10,000 households have joined the service, which means one in five households in the district now compost their garden waste. Take up of the service has far exceeded the Council’s target of 6,000 within the first year.
