Garden waste and composting
Garden waste service
We provide a garden waste service with a fortnightly collection from a wheeled bin, for items such as grass cuttings, leaves, branches, weeds and hedge clippings.
Cost
The cost is £30 a year for the service (£28.50 if paid by direct debit).
Bin sizes
There are two sizes of wheeled bin available:
- 240 litre
- 140 litre (recommended for people who do not create much garden waste)

When will you get your bin?
We aim to deliver your wheeled bin within 14 working days.
However, please note: We are currently experiencing a delay with our brown bin delivery (due to a manufacturing shortage) any orders placed after (and including) 27 June 2008 will receive a supply of garden waste sacks to use until their bin arrives. We hope to have all bins delivered by 5 September 2008.

Alternative service
In exceptional circumstances we may be able to offer garden sacks to residents that don't have room for a wheeled bin and meet specific criteria.

Other ways you can dispose of your garden waste include:

Green Community Waste Service
We no longer collect garden waste at any of the community waste sites.
