Site inspections

At various stages during building work a council surveyor will need to inspect any work carried out to ensure it complies with current Building Regulations.

It is your responsibility to contact Building Control and arrange these site inspections.

Contacting Building Control

If you contact Building Control before 10am you can expect a site inspection at no specified time that same day or alternatively if you contact Building Control at least one day before you wish to arrange a site inspection, a scheduled appointment can be made.

Failure to notify the Council can result in prosecution and fines of up to £5000. The Council can also have the building work removed or rectified.
