Access

The Access Officer gives advice and assistance on issues affecting people with disabilities.

Information offered includes the design of wheelchair ramps, accessible WCs, induction loops, dropped kerbs, tactile paving, street furniture and numerous other related subjects.

Access Groups

There are a number of active Access Groups in the area who work with various authorities in an endeavour to reduce discrimination against the disabled and to increase awareness of their particular problems. The Access Officer assists whenever possible.
