The Council provides a pest control service at domestic premises for the treatment of:

moles
foxes
ants
pigeons
bats
badgers
moths
snakes
cockroaches

How long does it take?

You can usually expect a visit within 5 days, however, there may be a delay during times of increased demand for service.

The council has appointed a contractor, Total Pest Control (UK) Ltd to provide this service.

The charges including VAT are:

Rats and mice: £26.00 contribution - (unless the premises keeps animals that are not classed as domestic pets, for example, chickens, where a charge of £45 may apply).
Wasps/hornets nests: £45
Fleas: £85

Treatment is free for residents receiving housing/council tax benefits or income support (unless the premises keeps animals that are not classified as domestic pets as above).
