Hygiene training

By law proprietors of food businesses must ensure that all staff involved in food handling are supervised and instructed and/or trained in food hygiene matters in accordance with their work activity.

Whilst there is no legal requirement to attend a formal training course, many businesses may want their staff to do so.

The Council runs food hygiene courses - you can arrange training by downloading the Food Hygiene Course leaflet from the menu on the right.

You can also arrange training through one of the following organisations: 

We maintain a list of anyone interested in our future training so that we can contact them as soon as we have some dates available.
