Campylobacter

Campylobacter is a common cause food poisoning, and is the most common source of food poisoning in many countries.

It is found mainly in poultry, red meat, unpasteurised milk and untreated water.

The symptoms involve severe stomach cramps and diarrhoea and may continue for up to two weeks.

Campylobacter food poisoning can be prevented by following safe food handling practices and having good personal hygiene.
