Local elections

Election Results

As a result of the district council elections on 3 May 2007, the Conservative group has increased its number of seats from 28 to 38.  The Liberal Democrat group has six seats and there are two Independent councillors, one Labour councillor and one Henley Resident Group councillor.

About the election

The election was held on Thursday 3 May and the count on Friday 4 May 2007 at the Council Offices, Crowmarsh Gifford.

There are 48 councillors representing 29 wards in the district. Within South Oxfordshire there are 89 parishes. Some of the smaller parishes do not have a parish council but have a parish meeting.
