Young Achievers Award Scheme for arts, sports and citizenship

The council offers financial awards of up to £250 for people living in South Oxfordshire aged between 11 and 18 years old.  Applicants or people nominating young achievers must be able to show exceptional achievements in the twelve months prior to the closing date.

Please note:  The scheme is now open for applications and will close on 31 October 2010.

Arts - You must be able to demonstrate a high level of commitment and skill in the chosen art form.  Arts include music, dance, drama, creative writing, painting, sculpture, photography, video production, multi-media and crafts.  Further information on Arts awards

Sports - You must be competing in your sport at county level or above. Further information on Sports awards

Citizenship - Applications are by nomination only.  The person submitting the nomination must be able to show how the nominee has shown outstanding community or voluntary service.  Further information on Citizenship awards

Age limit

You must be aged between 11 and 18 at the closing date of 31 October 2010 to be able to apply. 

Previous award winners

If you have already received two bursary awards under the old bursary scheme you are not able to apply again. 

If you received a young achievers award last year you will not be able to apply this year.
