Community and voluntary groups

Search details of over 2,000 local clubs, societies and voluntary groups in Oxfordshire search the local clubs and societies database.

You can also visit Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action, an umbrella organisation providing information and services for voluntary organisations in Oxfordshire.

The Council works with and supports a number of local voluntary and community organisations (VCOs) working in South Oxfordshire.

Voluntary Sector Forum

The Council holds an annual forum for VCOs, in partnership with Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action (OCVA) to discuss and debate current issues and future ways of working.  The 2008 Conference was held on 24 October.  You can view the programme and a report of the pervious year's conference by selecting from the options on the right.

We asked delegates at this year's conference for their views on the Council's draft community engagement startegy. You can download the section of the strategy  that sets out how the Council plans to improve the way  it works with VCOs by selecting the this option from the menu on the right. Please tell us your views using the online questionnaire.

Delegates to this year's forum can also provide feedback on the event using the on-line evaluation form. 

The Council has also contributed to the development of the Oxfordshire Compact which is a framework against which the relationship between the statutory, voluntary, community and faith sectors can be monitored and evaluated.  To find out more about the Compact, please visit Oxfordshire County Council's website or follow the link in the menu on the right.
