Community and voluntary groups

The Council works with and supports a number of local voluntary and community organisations (VCOs) working in South Oxfordshire.

Voluntary Sector Forum

The Council holds an annual forum for VCOs, in partnership with Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action (OCVA) to discuss and debate current issues and future ways of working.  The  last forum was held in October 2008 and you can download a report of this and previous year's events  by selecting from the options on the right.

The next voluntary sector forum will be held on 23 February 2010 at the Council offices in Crowmarsh, Wallingford. Further details will be available on this page in January 2010. Alternatively, please contact our grants team in Corporate Strategy.

The Council has also contributed to the development of the Oxfordshire Compact which is a framework against which the relationship between the statutory, voluntary, community and faith sectors can be monitored and evaluated.  To find out more about the Compact, please visit the Compact pages on the OCVA website or follow the link in the menu on the right.

The South Oxfordshire Partnership and the voluntary and community sector

The South Oxfordshire Partnership (SOP), which brings together partners from the public, private, and voluntary, community and faith sectors is seeking nominations for voluntary sector representatives on its board.
