Emergency contacts
In an emergency
Dial 999 for the police, fire or ambulance service, otherwise contact the police on 0845 8505 505 or the fire service on 01865 842999.
If you are hard of hearing, the RNID typetalk emergency number 18000.
Health advice
For immediate and confidential health advice/information call NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
Floods
For 24 hour advice/information on flooding and flood warnings call Floodline on 0845 988 1188. See our flooding page for further information.
Pollution
To report evironmental pollution incidents call the Environment Agency on 0800 807 060. For further information on poluttion, go to our air pollution pages.
Gas
To report a gas leak either in the house or street call the National Grid on 0800 111 999.
The Council's emergency helpline
The Council's emergency helpline on 01491 824033 is available after office hours (usual office hours are Mon - Thurs 8.30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm) to report a noise nuisance, dangerous structure, flooding, a dead animal on the highway or a homeless issue.
