Benefits:
Find out how much council tax or housing benefits you may be entitled to, using our online calculator. The calculator can give you a rough guide to the amount of benefits you may be entitled to, however, this is subject to change once you have submitted an official application.

Please let us know if you have moved house, changed your name, or have other changes in your circumstances. This will help us to contact you and to keep our records up to date. It is important to inform us when you move house so we can bill you correctly for your Council Tax.

You can now search for tree work applications (for Tree Preservation Orders and trees under a Preservation Order or in a conservation area) and in two ways - by location or by reference number. Go to the Tree Works Register.

HomeChoice - apply for a house online:
HomeChoice is the council’s new choice based letting scheme.
With HomeChoice, people on the housing register can look at all of the social rented properties available to them in their priority banding and bid for a home of their choice. The new scheme gives you more control over where you live and how quickly you move. Visit the HomeChoice section to find out more.

Webcasts - meetings on film:
You can now watch council meetings from the comfort of your own home, or anywhere else where internet access is available.
The Council has installed cameras in the council chamber to broadcast planning, cabinet and council meetings on a regular basis. Live and recorded meetings will be available on this site and viewers can send comments in during the broadcasts – which occur in real time – and we are particularly keen to receive people’s views on the quality and usefulness of the webcasts.
