The Young Achievers Award Scheme
The council offers financial support of up to £250 for residents in South Oxfordshire under the age of 19 who have demonstrated a talent in the field of sport or the arts. It also offers a citizenship award for an outstanding community or voluntary service/act.
For Young Achievers Awards the applicant must be competing in their chosen sport at least at County Level or above and for arts awards the applicant must show particular strength in presentations and or public displays throughout the Oxfordshire area in. Arts include music, dance, drama, creative writing, painting, sculpture, photography, video production, multi-media and crafts.

The scheme will be open to new applicants in September 2009.
