Your place, your future
The Council, together with its partners has been developing important plans and polices for the future of the district, such as where new houses will go and what services and facilities communities need.
These plans will influence the services we provide and the way that we provide them, as well as major decisions about where at least 10,000 new houses and future employment development will go over the next 20 years.
Our consultation with residents, partners and stakeholders has helped us to develop a sustainable community strategy for the district and other draft proposals, which will influence:
- the amount and type of development that takes place over the next twenty years and where it should go;
- what changes will be made to the places where we live, work and spend leisure time, and what we will work to protect;
- the key services and facilities to be provided or improved
- how we prioritise and tackle key issues of concern about the future.
