About the chairman

Felix was born in Oxford and brought up in Ewelme where his family have lived for generations. He attended Henley College before going on to study at Banbury Art School and Chelsea School of Art in London. He is what has been phrased one of 'The Jam Generation' a group of politicians now in their forties that grew up with the music of the band The Jam.

His passion away from politics is photography, he has become a familiar face in the Formula One pit lane as an accredited photo-journalist and when not surrounded by cars he photographs live music events.

This is Felix’s forth term of office at South Oxfordshire District Council where he has served on many committees including vice chairman of planning and is currently the council's Champion for Design. He is the council's youngest ever chairman.

May 2012

The chairman changes each year, and the new chairman for 2012 will be announced in May 2012.
