Information on venue bookings at the Council offices

Council Chamber and Committee Room 4 hire

Subject to there being no requirement for Council meetings, you can hire the Council Chamber and Committee room 4, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8.30am and 7pm.

The Council Chamber has a dual screen audio visual display unit with remote control access and induction loop.  The system accepts data on USB memory sticks, DVDs, CDs, floppy disks or, if you like, you can bring your own laptop.

Committee Room 4 has a projection system that accepts data on USB memory sticks, DVDs, CDs, floppy disks or, if you like, you can bring your own laptop.

Access to the Council Chamber and Committee room is DDA compliant with power assisted pushpad doors and easy ramp access for wheelchair and disabled users.  If you have any specific user requirements please contact us (See contact details below).

Hire Fees to April 2010

• Council Chamber: £120 for up to 3 hours, £50 per hour thereafter
• Committee Room 4: £90 for up to 3 hours, £40 per hour thereafter    

Registered charities receive a substantial discount in the hire fee.  Please contact us for more information.

Please note, we no longer hold civil ceremonies at the Council Offices.

Smoking - smoking is not permitted in the Council building or anywhere on site (including the car parks).

The following facilities are available:

• Car parking - ample free parking is available on site with disabled parking bays located directly outside the Council Chamber
• Photocopying service - an in-house photocopying service is available at 25p per black and white copy and 50p per colour copy
• OHP projectors - for acetate presentations
• Microphones - roving and stationary
• Flipchart stands - paper and pens are not supplied
• Male, female and disabled toilets are located within the Council Chamber reception area
• Free cold water dispenser.
